AJK Govt Extends Austerity Measures Till June 13

Muzaffarabad: The Azad Jammu and Kashmir cabinet has approved extending austerity measures till the 13th of this month. Approval in this regard was granted at a meeting held in Muzaffarabad today, chaired by Prime Minister Faisal Mumtaz Rathore.

According to Radio Pakistan, the cabinet also approved the Azad Kashmir Drinking Water Policy 2026 and amendments to the Criminal Law Act 2024, aimed at strengthening measures against cybercrime. These initiatives reflect the government’s commitment to addressing both immediate and long-term challenges in the region.

Additionally, the cabinet ratified the decisions of its previous meeting and reviewed progress on their implementation. This step underscores the administration’s focus on continuity and effective governance in the region.
