Aleem Directs NHA to Stay Vigilant for Snowfall Preparedness

Islamabad: Minister for Communications Abdul Aleem Khan has directed the National Highway Authority (NHA) to remain fully prepared and on high alert for the upcoming spell of snowfall expected across the country.

According to Radio Pakistan, Abdul Aleem Khan lauded NHA teams for their performance in keeping national highways and motorways operational despite recent heavy snowfall and challenging weather conditions. He paid tribute to the field staff working in difficult terrains such as Murree, Chitral, Balochistan, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Azad Jammu and Kashmir.

The Minister highlighted the importance of timely interventions, including continuous salt sprinkling and the strategic deployment of heavy machinery on the Murree Expressway and other key routes, in preventing accidents and ensuring safety. He also urged travelers and tourists to cooperate fully with the field staff in these challenging areas to ensure a safe and smooth journey.
