Aleem Khan Announces 70-km Murree Expressway Extension

Islamabad: Minister for Communications Abdul Aleem Khan has announced a 70-kilometre extension of the Murree Expressway to Muzaffarabad. He was chairing a high-level meeting of the National Highway Authority (NHA) in Islamabad today.

According to Radio Pakistan, the extension will connect Azad Jammu and Kashmir with Pakistan’s main motorway and expressway network. The Minister stated that the construction of the Murree-Muzaffarabad Expressway would usher in a new era of safe and modern travel for the people of Kashmir.

Abdul Aleem Khan also emphasized the importance of early completion of the M-8 Motorway and directed officials to expedite work on the Hoshab-Awaran Road and the Awaran-Nal project. He highlighted that these key southwestern corridors are vital for enhancing bilateral trade with Iran.
