KARACHI: The Ambassador of Algeria, Brahim Romani, has extended an invitation to Karachi’s business community to explore investment opportunities in Algeria. Speaking at the S.I.T.E. Association of Industry, he highlighted Algeria as a strategic entry point to Africa, with incentives for investors and an upcoming industrial exhibition in December.
Ambassador Romani, joined by Syed Zaigham Hussain, addressed S.I.T.E. members, detailing Algeria’s investment policies. The country offers incentives like land, electricity, and internet connectivity, alongside expedited visa processing. He emphasized Algeria’s one-window operation for investors and its cost-effective energy and healthcare services.
S.I.T.E. President Ahmed Azeem Alvi welcomed the Ambassador, highlighting the area’s economic contributions. Alvi proposed a business delegation to the December exhibition in Algeria and requested a sector-specific collaboration list.
Discussions also covered enhancing bilateral trade in textiles, leather goods, vaccines, solar energy, phosphate, surgical instruments, iron reserves, food items, and IT products.
