All 24 Pakistanis on Board LPG Tanker Safe: FO

Islamabad: The Foreign Office has informed that all 24 Pakistanis on board the LPG tanker that caught fire off the coast of Yemen, are safe. In response to media queries, the Foreign Office Spokesman said the tanker has departed the port and is making way out of the Yemeni waters.

According to Radio Pakistan, the LPG tanker caught fire off the coast of Yemen on the 17th of this month. On receiving the news about the incident, the concerned Pakistan embassies established contacts with the authorities in Yemen to ensure the well-being of the crew. Efforts were made to set the tanker underway again.

The diplomatic missions also maintained contact with the family members of the Pakistani crew and kept them updated about the latest situation.
