All Pakistan Annual Naat Khawani Celebrates Cultural Heritage at PNCA

Islamabad: The All Pakistan Annual Naat Competition, an event organized by Radio Pakistan and Pakistan Television to commemorate Eid Milad-un-Nabi (SAW), took place at the Pakistan National Council of Arts in Islamabad. This event brought together a diverse group of participants and attendees, including Minister for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony Sardar Muhammad Yousaf, Federal Secretary Information and Broadcasting Ambreen Jan, and Director General Radio Pakistan Saeed Ahmed Sheikh.

According to Radio Pakistan, the competition featured several categories based on age and gender, highlighting the talent of young Naat Khawans from across the country. In the boys’ category under 15 years, Abdul Rehman from Sindh secured the first position, followed by Muhammad Talha Hashmi from Islamabad in second place, and Hafiz Inam ul Qudoos from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in third. The girls’ category under 15 years saw Madeeha Dildaar from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa take first place, with Noor ul Huda from Islamabad and Javeria Jamshed from Sindh earning second and third positions, respectively.

In the category for boys aged 15 to 25 years, Ghulam Mustaf from Islamabad emerged as the winner, with Sadiq Ali from Sindh and Abid Gulzar from Punjab taking second and third places. The girls’ category for the same age group was won by Zainab Noor of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, with Areeba Shifiq of Punjab securing second place and Zareena from Balochistan finishing third.

Federal Secretary Information and Broadcasting Ambreen Jan, alongside Director General Radio Pakistan Saeed Ahmad Sheikh, honored the winners and participants with cash prizes and certificates. Addressing the attendees, Minister Sardar Muhammad Yousaf emphasized the role of Naat in connecting younger generations with Islamic cultural traditions. He praised Radio Pakistan and PTV for their efforts in maintaining this significant cultural event, underscoring their ongoing responsibility in celebrating the life and teachings of the Holy Prophet [Peace Be Upon Him].
