All Pakistan Compressed Natural Gas Association demands restoration of gas supply to stations across Punjab

Rawalpindi, February 27, 2014 (PPI-OT): The All Pakistan CNG Association (APCNGA) on Thursday demanded restoration of gas supply to CNG stations across Punjab facing disconnection since eighty one days. Govt should fulfil promise to resume supply to the CNG stations of Punjab as weather has normalised, said Chairman of the Supreme Council APCNGA Ghiyas Abdullah Paracha.

In a statement issued here today, he said that all the CNG stations must be reopened to provide employment to unemployed workers, relief to the masses and cut increasing oil import bill and reduce pressure on forex reserves.

Government should immediately revisit load shedding schedule to provide relief to masses who have been braving unprecedented gas load shedding in Punjab since three months, he said. Government must take steps to rescue the CNG sector and ensure smooth sailing in the province of Punjab, said Paracha.
