Shangla: Federal Minister for Kashmir Affairs and Gilgit-Baltistan, Engineer Amir Muqam, has expressed the government’s commitment to assisting flood victims in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The minister conveyed his message of support and solidarity while speaking to the media in Shangla, one of the regions severely impacted by recent flooding.
According to Radio Pakistan, Engineer Amir Muqam visited the far-flung flood-hit areas to assess the situation and reassure affected families of the government’s support. He emphasized that the government is doing everything it can to provide necessary aid and relief to those who have suffered due to the natural disaster.
Shangla, a district that experienced a devastating cloud burst, witnessed the tragic loss of twenty-one lives. The Federal Minister highlighted the government’s efforts to stand by the flood-affected communities during these challenging times. He also expressed hope that the compensation funds promised by the federal government would reach the victims within a week.
