Balochistan Govt Launches Major Tree Plantation Drive Under ‘Green Vision’

Islamabad: Balochistan government has launched a major tree plantation drive under the ‘Green Vision’ of Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti, aiming to turn its barren mountains green.

According to Radio Pakistan, in the first phase, four thousand saplings were planted on the slopes of mountains. To ensure their survival, water tanks, pipelines, and a drip irrigation system were installed.

In the second phase, from July 15 to August 15, over eight thousand saplings were planted on Sleeping Beauty Mountain.

In the upcoming phase, fruit-bearing trees will be planted on 49 acres of Hanna West Mountain through public-private partnership.
