Ambassador Representative of Pakistan to United Nations deposited the Instruments of Ratification

Islamabad: Ambassador Abdullah Hussain Haroon, Permanent Representative of Pakistan to the United Nations today deposited the Instruments of Ratification, signed by the President of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, for the “Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities” and “Optional Protocol to the Convention on the Rights of Child on the Sale of Children, Child Prostitution and Child Pornography” with Mr. Ban Ki-moon, Secretary General of the United Nations, says a press release received here today from New York.

Ratification of these instruments is yet another manifestation of Pakistan’s abiding commitment to upholding all human rights of all its citizens in accordance with international human rights law and standards. It is worth recalling that Pakistan is a signatory to all the core human rights treaties of the United Nations.
