Amir Muqam Calls for Accepting People’s Verdict in AJK Elections

Islamabad: Federal Minister for Kashmir Affairs, Gilgit-Baltistan and SAFRON, Engineer Amir Muqam has urged all political parties to ensure a peaceful continuation of the democratic process in Azad Jammu and Kashmir.

According to Radio Pakistan, Amir Muqam, while speaking to the media in Islamabad, emphasized that political parties should focus on winning the confidence of the people. He stated that election results could not be altered through accusations and called on political stakeholders to accept the people’s verdict with maturity.

Amir Muqam highlighted that the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) had accepted the results of the Gilgit-Baltistan elections despite political differences. He expressed the expectation that other parties would demonstrate the same democratic spirit in the interest of maintaining stability and respect for the electoral process in Azad Jammu and Kashmir.
