Analyst Praises Pakistan for Maintaining Principled Stance on Palestine Issue

Islamabad: A M Shahid, a former diplomat, has commended the Pakistani government for maintaining its principled position on the Palestine issue. Pakistan has consistently supported President Trump’s stance on the Gaza peace issue while adhering to its own established policy. The country seeks to halt the ongoing bloodshed in Gaza through temporary measures and has not wavered from its stated position on the Palestinian cause. In the current situation, Pakistan views it as its responsibility to stop the killing of innocent children and other civilians in Gaza. Consequently, the Prime Minister and Field Marshal have expressed support for a peace deal.

According to Radio Pakistan, despite the United States’ alliance with Israel, American citizens, students, and even Congress members have criticized Israeli policies under Prime Minister Netanyahu. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Field Marshal Asim Munir, and leaders from Muslim and Arab countries have met with President Trump, urging him to facilitate a ceasefire in Gaza. Although the peace deal is not considered ideal, it is viewed as the best possible temporary solution to ensure peace and order in Gaza.
