Islamabad, May 20, 2014 (PPI-OT): ANF conducted operations at Lahore, Nowshehra, Quetta, Turbat, Attock, Mianwali and Faisalabad and recovered 62.2 Kgs Opium, 163 Kgs Charas, arrested 12 drug suppliers and seized 6 vehicles.
According to details, ANF Lahore Road Check Team recovered 18 Kgs Charas from a car, near Mianwali. The drugs were tactfully concealed in Cylinder of the Suzuki Margalla registered No. FDU-9231. 3 persons on board were arrested, namely Abdul Wahab s/o Ahmed Jan r/o Khyber Agency, Muhammad Azeem s/o Alam Sher r/o Distt Khushab and Liaqat Ali s/o Haji Akbar Zaman r/o Kohat.
ANF Lahore Road Check Team recovered 12 Kgs Charas from 2 cars, near Faisalabad. The drugs were concealed in Toyota Corolla XLI (2011 Model) registered No. RD-365 and Toyota Corolla GLI (2007 Model) registered No. LEF-4555. Both accused have been arrested at the spot, namely Arshid Mehmood s/o Manzoor Mian and Muhammad Razaq s/o Faid Muhammad r/o Mandi Baha-ud-Din.
ANF Lahore Road Check Team recovered 36 Kgs Charas and 7.2 Kgs Opium from the personal possession of 3 persons. A Toyota Corolla car registration No.IDK- 6584 which was used for drug smuggling has also been seized. Both accused namely Muhammad Ali s/o Muhammad Arif r/o Peshawar, Alam Sher s/o Islam Sher r/o Peshawar and Ashfaq Ahmed s/o Mushtaq Ahmed r/o Peshawar have been arrested at the spot.
ANF Rawalpindi on information recovered 1 Kg of Charas from personal possession of 2 persons. Rickshaw belonging to the accused, used for drug supplies at local level, has also been confiscated. Both accused namely Umer Hayat s/o Ijaz Khan r/o Hazro, district Attock and Rashid Mehmood s/o Jamdad r/o Hazro, district Attock have been arrested at the spot.
ANF Peshawar on information conducted an operation and recovered 55 Kgs of Opium from a car. The drugs were tactfully concealed in Dashboard. Driver of the car Hayatullah s/o Fateh Rehman r/o Lower Dir was arrested at the spot, once he was travelling near Rashakai Interchange in his car Toyota Corolla registered No. LEE-08- 5526.
ANF Quetta on information recovered 95 Kgs of Hashish lying in deserted hut near village Shapak on Hoshab Road, District Turbat. ANF Quetta on information recovered 1.04 Kgs of charas from the personal possession of Allah Dad s/o Khuda Dad r/o Killi Malik Samad Hunna Orak Distt Quetta who has been arrested at the spot. Cases have been registered in ANF Police Stations and further investigations are under process.
