Anti Narcotics Task Force recovers heroin, charas

Islamabad, March 04, 2014 (PPI-OT): Complying with its mandate, ANF conducted 4 operations at Punjab and recovered drugs along with arrest of 4 persons and seizure of a vehicle. Most of the recovered drugs were destined abroad. Main objective of increased vigilance at entry/Exit points and Highways is to discourage inland and outland smuggling of drugs.

According to details, ANF Rawalpindi Airport Team arrested Abdul Hameed s/o Muhammad Shafi r/o Bahawalpur, who confessed of having 60 Heroin filled capsules in his abdomen. He was to travel by PIA Flight N o .PK – 270 to Jaddah.

ANF Rawalpindi Airport Team arrested Muhammad Naveed s/o Abdul Majeed r/o District Nankana Sahab and recovered 680 grams of Heroin and 550 grams of Ice. The drugs were tactfully concealed in his shoes. He was to travel by Emirates Airlines, Flight No EK – 615 to Saudi Arabia.

ANF Rawalpindi Airport Team arrested Sarfraz Ali s/o Bhai Khan r/o Shekhupura and recovered 1.22 Kg of Heroin and 245 grams of Ice. The drugs were concealed in Trolley Bag, while 55 Heroin filled capsules were ingested by the accused. He was to travel by PIA, Flight No. PK – 369 and was destined for Saudi Arabia.

ANF Lahore during a road check arrested Libas Khan s/o Ahmed Khan r/o Peshawar and recovered 6.25 Kgs of Hashish. The drugs were recovered from secret cavities of car Suzuki Cults Registration No. AG – 795, while it was travelling near Shaheen Chowk, GT Road Gujrat.

All accused have been arrested and vehicle confiscated. Cases have been registered at ANF Police Stations and further investigations are under process.
