Anusha Rahman chairs 182nd board of directors meeting of Telephone Industries of Pakistan

Islamabad, January 15, 2015 (PPI-OT): 182nd Board of Directors meeting of Telephone Industries of Pakistan (TIP) was convened here in Islamabad today. The meeting was chaired by the Minister of State for IT Ms. Anusha Rahman. Federal Secretary IT Mr. Azmat Ali Ranjha, Acting MD T.I.P Muddassar Hussain, Member Legal Ms. Ameena Sohail and other Board Members were present in the meeting.

On recommendation of the Finance Committee, the Board has accorded the approval of TIP budget. The Chairperson (Minister) was also informed that as approved in previous board meeting, the formal notification for the appointment of new MD TIP Mr. Zia-ul-Haq has been issued.

The Minister for IT and Telecom Ms. Anusha Rahman has said that Government of Pakistan is committed for revitalization of TIP. Minister directed new TIP management to prepare a complete tangible and implementable revitalization plan within next three months. The Minister also directed Secretary IT to take up the matter of all outstanding recoveries with top management of PTCL and NRTC on urgent basis.
