APHC Urges Global Intervention to Protect Kashmiri Children from Violence

Srinagar: All Parties Hurriyat Conference has called upon the United Nations, OIC, EU, human rights and child protection organizations to come forward and save the Kashmiri children from Indian violence. APHC spokesman Advocate Abdul Rashid Minhas, in a statement in Srinagar, said that Indian troops not only arrest innocent children but also use them as a weapon of war in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

According to Radio Pakistan, Minhas emphasized the need for the world community to play its role in resolving the Kashmir dispute in accordance with United Nations resolutions and the aspirations of the Kashmiri people. He highlighted the plight of children in IIOJK, who have been orphaned and injured over the last three decades as their parents were brutally martyred in fake encounters and in custody.

The statement from APHC pointed out that violence, cruelties, and brutalities against Kashmiri children are part of a deliberate strategy by the Indian government, executed by Indian forces. The spokesperson urged the global community not to overlook the suffering of Kashmiri children, especially on the occasion of the ‘International Day of Innocent Children Victims of Aggression.’
