Asaduddin Owaisi Calls for Immediate Action in Kathua Custodial Death Case

New Delhi: All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) President Asaduddin Owaisi has called for urgent measures following the custodial death of civilian Makhan Din in Kathua district of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

According to a statement by Kashmir Media Service, Owaisi took to social media platform X to express his condemnation of the incident. He claimed that Din was subjected to severe torture by Indian police, leading to his death. Owaisi emphasized that the responsibility to prevent such incidents lies with the Modi government, especially since Jammu and Kashmir’s status was changed to a Union Territory.

Owaisi has demanded the immediate suspension of the officers involved and their superiors. He also called for criminal proceedings to be initiated under Article 311.
