Ashfaq Ahmad Khalil Appointed as Federal Information Secretary

Islamabad: Senior officer of the Information Ministry Ashfaq Ahmad Khalil has been appointed as Federal Secretary Information and Broadcasting. The notification to this effect has been issued after the approval of Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif.

According to Radio Pakistan, Ashfaq Ahmad Khalil was earlier serving as Additional Secretary at the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting. He has served as Director General in the Press Information Department Peshawar and as Press Consular at the Pakistan Embassy Tokyo, Japan.

He has also held various important positions in the Ministry of Information, including roles in the Directorate of Electronic Media and Publications, PEMRA, Information Service Academy, and Press Information Department.
