Pakistan and Saudi Arabia Commit to Strengthening Defence Ties

Rawalpindi: Chief of General Staff of the Armed Forces of Saudi Arabia General Fayyad bin Hamed Al-Ruwaili met with Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee General Sahir Shamshad Mirza in Rawalpindi today. The meeting focused on the evolving global and regional security environment and exploring measures to deepen military engagements between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.

According to Radio Pakistan, both leaders reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening defence and security ties. General Sahir Shamshad Mirza emphasized Pakistan’s dedication to safeguarding Saudi Arabia’s territorial integrity and protecting Harmain al-Sharifain. General Al-Ruwaili acknowledged the professionalism of the Pakistan Armed Forces and their sacrifices in combating terrorism.

General Al-Ruwaili also commended General Mirza for his contributions to enhancing the strategic relationship between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia. Upon his arrival at the Joint Staff Headquarters, General Al-Ruwaili was presented with a ‘Guard of Honour’ by a tri-services contingent.
