Asim Iftikhar Ahmad Meets Antonio Guterres in New York

New York: Pakistan’s Permanent Representative to the UN, Ambassador Asim Iftikhar Ahmad, called on United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres in New York in his capacity as the incoming President of the UN Security Council for the month of July. During this significant meeting, Ambassador Ahmad briefed Secretary-General Guterres on the proposed Programme of Work for the Council in July.

According to Radio Pakistan, Ambassador Asim Iftikhar emphasized the importance of collective action in tackling complex global challenges. He reiterated Pakistan’s support for Secretary-General Guterres’s efforts to promote multilateralism and preventive diplomacy.
