At least 8 killed as van carrying tourists plunges into ravine in Babusar

Eight people were killed and sixteen injured in a road accident in Gatti Das in Babusar on Friday.

The accident occurred when a high roof fell down in a ravine after a collision with a car.

Assistant Commissioner Chilas said that dead bodies and injured have been shifted to nearby hospitals at Chilas and Naran.

Meanwhile, Chief Minister Gilgit Baltistan Haji Gulbar Khan has expressed deep sorrow over the incident. Praying for departed souls, he directed to provide best treatment facility to the injured in Chilas Hospital.
