Aurangzeb Emphasizes Pakistan’s Commitment to Promoting Regional Trade in Wake of Global Uncertainty

Washington: Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb participated in a panel discussion at the International Monetary Fund on the theme ‘Navigating an Uncertain World.’ The Finance Minister emphasized the importance of promoting regional trade in the wake of global uncertainty and elevated risks which affected different countries differently.

According to Radio Pakistan, Aurangzeb highlighted the IT sector as a crucial factor, urging for the integration of IT systems across government and private sector entities. During the panel, he stressed that the IT sector could serve as a real game-changer in the current economic landscape.

Furthermore, the Finance Minister held a meeting with Dev Jagadesan, Acting CEO of the US International Development Finance Corporation. He appreciated the participation of senior US officials in the Pakistan Minerals Investment Forum. Aurangzeb highlighted the immense potential for deepening mutually beneficial cooperation between Pakistan and the United States, particularly in the areas of investment and development.
