Aurangzeb Reaffirms Govt’s Focus on Economic Reforms

Islamabad: Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb has emphasized the government’s continued focus on strengthening institutions, improving the business environment, and advancing reforms aimed at supporting sustainable economic growth and investor confidence. He was speaking during a meeting with the German Ambassador to Pakistan, Ina Lepel, who visited him in Islamabad.

According to Radio Pakistan, the Finance Minister highlighted Pakistan’s recent macroeconomic progress, including stronger foreign exchange buffers and ongoing efforts to maintain fiscal discipline. He underscored the government’s commitment to sustaining macroeconomic stability, advancing structural reforms, and creating a more conducive environment for investment and business activity.

The German Ambassador appreciated the government’s ongoing efforts towards economic stabilization and structural reforms. She reaffirmed Germany’s continued interest in strengthening bilateral economic and business relations with Pakistan. Furthermore, she expressed support for sustained engagement and greater collaboration between German companies and their Pakistani counterparts.
