UNICEF Commends Pakistan Customs for Humanitarian Efforts

Islamabad: UNICEF has appreciated Pakistan Customs for seamless facilitation of humanitarian cargo to Afghanistan.

According to Radio Pakistan, the appreciation was expressed by a delegation of the United Nations Children’s Fund during a meeting with Director General of the Directorate General of Transit Trade, Karachi, Irfan Javed.

During the meeting, the UNICEF delegation acknowledged the effective coordination and facilitation extended by Pakistan Customs in ensuring the timely and efficient movement of humanitarian consignments through Pakistan to Afghanistan. The Directorate of Transit Trade, Karachi, in coordination with the Directorate of Transit Trade, Peshawar, facilitated the movement of 355 containers of UNICEF humanitarian cargo by land through Pakistan.
