Aurangzeb Vows to Modernize FBR, Strengthen Tax System

Lahore: Minister for Finance Muhammad Aurangzeb has said that the government is introducing new initiatives to modernize the Federal Board of Revenue and further improve tax administration. Addressing the graduation ceremony of FBR officers in Lahore on Saturday, he said the government is working collectively to strengthen tax policy and enhance the overall tax system.

According to Radio Pakistan, the Finance Minister emphasized that providing relief and convenience to the public remains the government’s top priority. Comprehensive reforms are being implemented to promote a cashless economy, and the positive impact of these reforms has already begun to emerge within the FBR.

Highlighting the importance of technology, he stated that this is the era of artificial intelligence, and FBR officers should fully utilize it to improve efficiency and service delivery. He also mentioned that improving market conditions and enhancing economic stability remain among the government’s key priorities.
