GBDMA Intensifies Relief Efforts in Flood-Hit Gilgit-Baltistan

Gilgit: Gilgit-Baltistan Disaster Management Authority, in collaboration with all relevant departments and volunteers, is distributing relief items to rain and flood-affected people at various locations across all districts, including Gilgit, Diamer, Ghizer and Skardu.

According to Radio Pakistan, necessary measures are also being taken to restore the damaged infrastructure. An alternative route has been established at Ansar Camp Bridge in Skardu to facilitate movement in the affected areas.

GBDMA has reported that water flow near Haramush Power House on the Jaglot-Skardu Road is obstructing vehicular traffic, further complicating relief efforts and travel in the region.
