Aurangzeb Vows to Promote Rich Buddhist, Gandhara Heritage

Taxila: Federal Minister for National Heritage and Culture Aurangzeb Khan Khichi has reaffirmed Pakistan’s strong commitment to preserving and promoting its rich Buddhist and Gandhara heritage. Addressing ‘International Vesak Day’ in Taxila, he emphasized that Vesak commemorates the birth and enlightenment of Gautama Buddha, representing values of peace, compassion, tolerance, and wisdom.

According to Radio Pakistan, Punjab Minister for Human Rights and Minorities Affairs, Ramesh Singh Arora, reiterated the government’s dedication to heritage conservation. He noted that concrete steps are being taken to preserve heritage sites, especially those linked to the Gandhara Civilization.
