Srinagar, A significant avalanche in the Hung area of Sonamarg within the Ganderbal district of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir has led to the entrapment of at least two vehicles beneath the snow.
According to Kashmir Media Service, a rescue operation was launched immediately after the Senior Superintendent of Police of Ganderbal issued orders. A police team was dispatched to the avalanche site and was able to rescue the passengers from the engulfed vehicles. The emergency response included the coordinated efforts of the Police, State Disaster Response Force (SDRF), local community members, and other responding agencies.
