Awais Leghari Advocates for Enhanced Trade Relations with Kyrgyzstan

Islamabad: Minister for Power Sardar Awais Ahmad Khan Leghari has expressed a strong desire to enhance trade relations with Kyrgyzstan. Speaking at the Pakistan-Kyrgyzstan Inter-Governmental Commission in Islamabad, he highlighted the need for consistent and collaborative efforts across multiple sectors to elevate bilateral trade to one hundred million dollars.

According to Radio Pakistan, Awais Leghari emphasized the importance of reviving the Pakistan-Kyrgyzstan Joint Business Council and sustaining B2B interactions as significant steps toward achieving this goal. He also underscored the necessity of finalizing a key Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on electronic data interchange between customs authorities promptly.

The Minister for Power welcomed Kyrgyzstan’s interest in Pakistan’s mining sector, specifically in copper and gold exploration, as a promising area for future cooperation.
