Balochistan Advisor Calls for New Health Legislation and Unified Policy to Combat Epidemics

Quetta: Dr. Rababa Khan Baldi, Advisor to the Chief Minister on Women Development, emphasized the urgent need for new public health legislation and a unified health policy to effectively address epidemic challenges in Balochistan. These remarks were made during a meeting with the delegation from International Health Regulation Islamabad, led by Dr. Safiullah.

According to Directorate General Public Relation – Govt of Balochistan, Dr. Baldi advocated for the development of modern health laws and policies tailored to not only address current pandemic situations but also to prepare for future public health challenges. She highlighted the necessity of fostering collaboration across various health sectors through the implementation of the One Health Policy, which aims to integrate and enhance the interconnectedness of health services.

Dr. Baldi pointed out that under the leadership of Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti, significant efforts are being made to improve the health infrastructure in the province. She stressed the provincial government’s commitment to working alongside different institutions to bring about effective transformations in the health sector.
