Bank Al Habib Enhances Mobile App with New QR Code Payment Features

Karachi, Bank Al Habib has introduced new features for QR code payments on its mobile application, enabling both merchants and customers to generate and scan QR codes for transactions more efficiently. This update is part of the bank’s ongoing effort to streamline digital payments and enhance user convenience.

According to Bank Al Habib Limited, the updated mobile app now offers users two options for scanning QR codes: directly through the camera or from images stored in the gallery. The process is designed to accommodate both static and dynamic QR codes. For static QR codes, users can enter the payment amount manually, while dynamic QR codes will have the amount embedded automatically. Once the QR code is scanned and the account selected, customers can review the transaction details and complete the payment by entering a one-time password (OTP).

Additionally, merchants can generate their own QR codes using the mobile app to accept payments at their business locations. The app allows for the creation of both static and dynamic QR codes. For dynamic QR codes, merchants can embed details such as the amount, expiry date, and time directly within the code, facilitating a smoother transaction process.

Bank Al Habib aims to ensure that these new features not only improve the security and reliability of transactions but also contribute to the ease of doing business for merchants and enhance the overall payment experience for customers.
