Abu dhabi: Minister of State for Finance and Railways and Head of the Prime Minister’s Delivery Unit, Bilal Azhar Kayani, has emphasized the importance of learning from the digitalization model of the United Arab Emirates. He shared these views during a meeting with the UAE Minister of State for Financial Affairs, Mohamed bin Hadi Al Hussaini, as part of his visit to the UAE under the Experience Exchange Programme.
According to Radio Pakistan, Bilal Azhar Kayani expressed Pakistan’s deep appreciation for the UAE’s continued financial support, which has been crucial in maintaining the country’s economic stability. The meeting facilitated focused discussions on key aspects of fiscal management, including budgeting practices, public finance oversight, and tax policy reforms.
During these discussions, both ministers shared insights from their respective national experiences, identifying common challenges and opportunities to strengthen institutional capacity and improve governance frameworks. Bilal Azhar Kayani also outlined Pakistan’s reform agenda aimed at modernizing public sector finance. He highlighted Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif’s focus on reforms related to e-commerce, digitization, and sustained macroeconomic stability.
The Minister reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to deepening structural reforms, ensuring fiscal responsibility, and promoting transparency and good governance as key pillars for long-term economic resilience.
