Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has given party tickets to sincere and committed party workers on merit to contest ensuing local bodies polls in province: Nisar Ahmed Khuhro

Karachi, October 05, 2015 (PPI-OT): Senior Sindh Minister for Information and Education Mr. Nisar Ahmed Khuhro has said that PPP Chairman, Mr. Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has given party tickets to sincere and committed party workers on merit to contest the ensuing local bodies polls in the province, he accused the federal government of using WAPDA resources as toll to influence the outcome of the next local bodies polls in the Thatta and some other districts and demanded the Pakistan Election Commission to take serious exception to such tools as it had taken notice of the PM’s package for farmers.

Mr. Khuhro was addressing a press conference this evening at the party’s media cell after having meeting with some party office beares from Thatta and Sujawal districts. He said that Sindh was the first province which enacted the new law on the local government system but it were some opposition parties which challenged it in the apex court. He said that provincial government is fully committed to hold local bodies polls, causing delay.

He reiterated some opposition political parties which had always been defeated by the people of Sindh were now indulging to blame the Sindh government; he deplored that PPP legislator Ms Waheeda Shah was disqualified for misbehaving with some officials but no action had so been initiated against PTI legislator from Umar Kot, Mr. Nand Lal Malhi who stormed the R.O office the other day; he demanded of the election commission of Pakistan to bring Mr. Malhi to book.

Alluding to prolonged trial of murder case of Shaheed Mohtramma Benazir Bhutto, he hoped that court will do justice in the case, adding that their was no outcome on the reference sent by the former president Mr. Asif Ali Zardari to the apex court for review of the judicial murder case of Shaheed Z.A Bhutto.

Mr. Nisar Ahmed Khuhro was of the view that the MQM legislator should not have tender their resignations as it always ought to be tendered voluntarily and not in protest, adding that it was why the Senate Chairman ruled against the acceptance of these resignations.
