Meteorological Department Issues Weather Alert for Pakistan

Islamabad, The National Weather Forecasting Centre has issued an alert predicting dust storms, thunderstorms, and isolated rain across various regions of Pakistan from May 28 to June 1. This weather shift is expected to bring relief from the severe heatwave conditions currently affecting the country.

According to National Weather Forecasting Centre – Islamabad, a shallow westerly wave is set to impact the upper parts of Pakistan, leading to significant changes in weather conditions. Regions including Balochistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan, Kashmir, Punjab, Islamabad, and Sindh will experience varied weather phenomena such as dust storms, thunderstorms, and rain, potentially disrupting daily routines and affecting crops. Authorities have been advised to remain alert to mitigate any adverse effects on infrastructure and agriculture. The public is urged to avoid unnecessary exposure to direct sunlight and take precautions during this period.
