BISP and NAVTTC Sign MoU to Enhance Skills Training Opportunities for BISP Beneficiaries


Islamabad, The Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) and the National Vocational and Technical Training Commission (NAVTTC) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to promote skills training among BISP beneficiaries. The agreement, formalized at the BISP headquarters, aims to establish a strong framework for cooperation in executing the Skills Training Vouchers Programme, designed to provide high-quality technical and vocational education to members of BISP beneficiary families.



According to Press Information Department, the MoU signing ceremony was attended by notable figures, including Chairperson BISP Dr. Muhammad Amjad Saqib, who was present to witness the significant moment. Representing BISP, Ms. Saira Atta, Director General (CI), and Mr. Shafiq Khokhar, Director General (P and D) of NAVTTC, signed the agreement, marking a commitment to advancing vocational training opportunities for those in need.



The Skills Training Vouchers Programme seeks to equip BISP beneficiaries with valuable technical skills, improving their employability and economic prospects. The initiative is part of a broader effort to uplift the socio-economic conditions of low-income families in Pakistan through education and training.



Among the distinguished attendees at the ceremony were Mr. Amir Jan, Executive Director NAVTTC, Ms. Gulmina Bilal Ahmed, Director General NAVTTC, and various Director Generals from BISP. Their presence highlighted the importance of the partnership and the collective dedication to making the programme a success.



The MoU signifies a collaborative approach between BISP and NAVTTC, underscoring the shared goal of providing quality vocational training to beneficiaries.
