BISP Chairperson Seeks Australian Support for Skill Development

Islamabad: Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) Chairperson Senator Rubina Khalid met with Ali Murtaza, Vice President of the Pakistan Association of Australia, to explore potential collaborations aimed at enhancing skill development opportunities for BISP beneficiaries. The meeting focused on connecting beneficiaries with high-quality training institutions both domestically and internationally, with an emphasis on equipping them with skills relevant to the job markets.

According to Press Information Department, the meeting highlighted the importance of empowering BISP beneficiaries through skill development initiatives. Senator Khalid emphasized the goal of enabling individuals to become self-reliant by providing training that aligns with market demands, thereby helping them secure employment and improve their economic conditions. Ali Murtaza assured his support in facilitating these training opportunities in Australia and presented a goodwill shield to Senator Khalid. Iftikhar Hussain Sherazi, Bureau Chief of Dawn News, was also present at the meeting.
