BJP Blamed for Escalating Violence in Jammu by Omar Abdullah

Srinagar: National Conference Vice President Omar Abdullah has attributed the worsening situation in Jammu and Kashmir, particularly the Jammu region, to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). He accuses the party of negligence and poor governance which have exacerbated tensions and violence across several districts.

According to Kashmir Media Service, during a press interaction in Baramulla district, Omar Abdullah pointed out the continuous reports of violence from Chenab, Pir Panjal, Reasi, Jammu, Samba, and Kathua. He criticized the BJP’s handling of the region, citing recent attacks on Yatris (pilgrims) as examples of the ongoing unrest.

Omar further criticized the BJP’s track record over the last five to six years, suggesting that their lack of substantial development achievements has led them to oppose the National Conference and Congress aggressively. He highlighted the Pulwama attack as a significant indicator of the BJP’s failures in the region.
