Boat Carrying 80 Capsizes Near Morocco, Pakistani Nationals Among Survivors

Rabat: A boat carrying 80 passengers, including several Pakistani nationals, capsized off the coast of Morocco near the port of Dakhla, according to an official statement. Survivors, including Pakistanis, have been accommodated in a camp near Dakhla as efforts to assist them continue.

According to a statement by Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Pakistani Embassy in Rabat has been informed of the incident and is coordinating with local authorities. A team from the Embassy has been dispatched to Dakhla to provide assistance to the Pakistani nationals affected by the capsizing.

The Foreign Ministry’s Crisis Management Unit has been activated in response to the incident. The Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister have directed relevant government agencies to offer full support to the affected Pakistanis.
