BSF Personnel Commits Suicide in Punjab, India

Gurdaspur, A member of the Indian Border Security Force (BSF) from the 113th Battalion took his own life in Punjab, a northern state of India. The incident occurred near Dharamkot Randhawa village, raising concerns about the mental health and well-being of security personnel.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the individual has been identified as Rajbir Singh, who hailed from Kathua in Indian-administered Jammu and Kashmir. Following the incident, local law enforcement, specifically the Dera Baba Nanak police, have initiated an investigation and sent Singh’s body for a post-mortem examination to determine the precise cause of death.

Authorities are looking into the circumstances surrounding the suicide, with a police officer confirming that an inquiry is underway to ascertain the factors leading to this tragic event.
