Bus Tragedy in Gujarat: Five Dead, 35 Injured as Pilgrims’ Journey Turns Fatal

Ahmedabad: Five individuals lost their lives and thirty-five sustained injuries when a private bus transporting pilgrims from Madhya Pradesh plunged into a gorge in Gujarat, India.

According to a statement by Kashmir Media Service, the incident took place in the early hours when the driver lost control of the bus near the Saputara hill station. Emergency services responded quickly, with officials confirming that the injured were taken to nearby hospitals for medical attention.

Seventeen of the injured are reported to be in critical condition, adding urgency to the rescue and treatment efforts. Among the deceased were the bus driver, three men, and two women.

This tragic event has raised concerns over road safety in the region, prompting authorities to investigate the circumstances leading to the accident.
