CA Pakistan presentation skills competition

Karachi, October 27, 2016 (PPI-OT):In its quest to bolster the students’ skills and talents in all the aspects of their professional career development, Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan (ICAP) has organized a presentation skill development competition for its trainee students at ICAP houses in Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad.

This is an annual initiative of CA PAKISTAN to provide an opportunity to trainee students to enhance their soft skills so that they can interact effectively with people inside and outside the organization. The students from 15 auditing firms participated in the competition.

The topics of the presentation were “Harnessing solar energy for Pakistan” and “How to become a developed country?” Majority of the participants presented innovative ideas and creative solutions to become a developed country. Skill development, harnessing abundant manpower, corruption free society, education, health and law were identified as the key indicators to develop any country.

The skills of the participants were evaluated by the quality of the presentations made. At the end they received important guidelines and tips to further strengthen their presentation styles from the jury which consisted of academia, senior CAs and management consultants.

The winners of the competition in Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad were Mr. Muhammad Saya from Ernst and Young, Mr. Muhammad Hamza Aqil from KPMG Taseer Hadi and Co and Mr. Hasan Jamal from A.F Ferguson and Co respectively. Similarly, the 1st runner ups of the competition in Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad were Mr. Saad Hussain from Ferguson, Mr. Haider Ali and Mr. Fahad Ghafoor from Horwath Hussain Chaudhry and Co. and Ms. Saba Ajmal from Deloitte Yousaf Adil and Co respectively. 2nd Runner Ups of the competition in Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad were Ms. Mashaal Ghaffar from Ferguson, Ms. Neelam Ghaffar from Deloitte Yousuf Adil Chartered Accountants and Ms. Ayesha Amir from A.F Ferguson and Co. respectively.
