Islamabad: Careem, the ride-hailing service, has partnered with Pakistan State Oil (PSO) to extend discounts on automotive products and services to its Captains, or drivers. This initiative is designed to lower operational costs for Captains while providing access to essential vehicle maintenance resources, reinforcing Careem’s commitment to the welfare of its workforce.
According to Careem, the partnership offers Captains a 15% discount on engine oil for a year and a complimentary top wash with every oil change. Captains can access these benefits once a month using a unique voucher system. The discounts are available at selected PSO outlets in Karachi, Lahore, and Islamabad, with specific locations including Stadium, Q Star, and Ahmad Brothers in Karachi; Sunshine, Crown, and Al Rafay in Lahore; and Bahria III, Motocare, and Jamal in Islamabad.
To redeem the offer, Captains must scan a QR code at participating PSO stations to engage with PSO’s WhatsApp Chatbot. After answering verification questions, they will receive a confirmation message to present at the outlet. The initiative aims to support Captains by enhancing their earnings and simplifying vehicle maintenance processes.
Imran Saleem, General Manager at Careem Pakistan, emphasized that the collaboration is part of Careem’s broader strategy to prioritize Captain welfare and success. Careem plans to promote the offer through various channels, including in-app notifications and social media, ensuring wide awareness among its Captain community.
