Chief Election Commissioner Sikandar Sultan Raja has directed to maintain high alertness in security measures and to expedite necessary deployments to ensure foolproof security for voters.
He conveyed these instructions to all four provincial chief secretaries and the Inspectors General of police over the phone.
Additionally, the Chief Election Commissioner also directed to ensure protection of the offices of District Returning Officers and Returning Officers.
Furthermore, he expressed condolences over the recent terrorist attacks during his discussions with the Chief Secretary and the IG of Balochistan. He urged them to take necessary measures to prevent such incidents.
Sikandar Sultan Raja assured of the election commission’s full support and assistance in this regard.
