Charsadda Pioneers Integrated Health Services for TB and Maternal Care

Charsadda: A groundbreaking initiative in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province aims to integrate tuberculosis (TB) screening and treatment with maternal and child health services, marking a significant step towards comprehensive healthcare delivery.

According to World Health Organization, the collaboration involves the TB and reproductive, maternal, newborn, child, and adolescent health (RMNCAH) programs at the Women and Children Hospital Charsadda. Supported by WHO Pakistan, the initiative includes launching research studies to assess TB prevalence among antenatal and postpartum women and exploring stool testing for TB diagnosis in children up to 10 years old.
