Chief Justice and Judges of the Supreme Court condoles

Islamabad: Honourable Chief Justice of Pakistan, Mr. Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry, Judges of the Supreme Court and staff of Supreme Court have expressed deep sorrows and grief on the sad demise of Honourable Mr. Justice Muhammad Afzal Zullah, Former Chief Justice of Pakistan, who passed away today i.e., 23-12-2011. The Honourable Judge was a prominent judicial figure, a renowned jurist, who had full faith in the supremacy of Constitution and rule of Law. He was a strong supporter/advocate of enforcement of fundamental rights guaranteed by Constitution of Pakistan. His services as a jurist and an eminent lawyer and Judge will be remembered and emulated by the generations of lawyers to come.

His Namaz-e-Janaza will be held on 23-12-2011 (today) after Jumma Prayer at Khalid Masjid, Calvary Ground Lahore. He will be buried at native Town (Village Pothi Bajneyal, Chakwal road near Mandara) District Rawalpindi.

May Allah rest his soul in eternal peace and give courage and fortitude to the bereaved family to bear this irreparable loss. Ameen!
