Chief Secretary presides review meeting of Board of Revenue

Karachi, July 17, 2012 (PPI-OT): Chief Secretary Sindh Raja Muhammad Abbas has advised all the Deputy Commissioners to furnish the data relevant to the land record, to the Board of Revenue Sindh, expeditiously, with a view to preserve it, through the facilitation centres being established in all 27 districts of Sindh, under the auspices of BOR Sindh. While presiding a review meeting, the Chief Secretary noted that the task for construction of 27 property record facilitation centres( one in each district head quarters).

Senior Member Board of Revenue Shahzar Shamoon apprised the meeting that except 02 Deputy Commissioner (of 27 all) have offered land for construction of facilitation centres, Member (RS) BOR informed the meeting that , under the project under reference, the efforts are being made for preservation of Record in the Directorate of Survey, Settlement and Land Record by scanning, Microfilming, Cataloging and Digitization of Maps.

The meeting also reviewed the progress of two (02) other projects i.e. Computerization and Establishment of Land Administration and Revenue Management Information System (LARMIS) and (ii) Creation of GIS (Geographical Information System) for Land Administration and Revenue Management in Sindh.

Chief Secretary instructed to do the needful for expeditious accomplishment of the projects. Those who attended meeting include Secretary I and C Rizwan Ahmed, Special Secretary Finance Ejaz Ahmed Khan, Secretary Planning Rizwan Awan and others.
