China Pakistan Economic Corridor will prove game changer for this Region Economy: Chief Minister Gilgit-Baltistan

Rawalpindi, October 20, 2015 (PPI-OT): Chief Minister Gilgit-Baltistan Hafiz Hafeez-ur-Rehman during his meeting with delegation of Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI) said China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) will prove game changer for the economy of this region. He also appreciate the pace of work at this project.

Expressing his views on the infrastructure of Gilgit-Baltistan, he said Government is doing remarkable work to upgrade the infrastructure of this region and the completion of 7km Tunnel Project in just 16 months is proof of Federal Government dedication and sincerity towards CPEC. He also welcomed the progress of Tourism industry that showed great acceleration in recent year.

He told that almost five hundred thousand domestic and foreign tourists visited Gilgit-Baltistan. President RCCI Mian Humayun Parvez during meeting with Chief Minister appreciated the GB government progress to strengthen the economy and he also assured maximum support from business community to invest in the tourism and hotel industry in Gilgit-Baltistan . RCCI SVP Mr. Saqib Rafiq and VP Mr. Aqil Obaid were also present in the meeting.
