Chinese Business Delegation Explores Investment Opportunities in Pakistan

Islamabad: A high-level delegation from the Chinese Batie Group, led by the senior economist Mr. Yuan Jianmin, visited the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC) in Islamabad on September 10, 2024. The delegation, which included representatives from Xinjiang Iron Brothers Co Ltd and four other major Chinese business entities, discussed potential investment opportunities in various sectors within Pakistan.

According to Press Information Department, the Chinese delegation received a warm welcome from SIFC officials who provided detailed briefings on the investment climate and opportunities in sectors such as Agriculture, Livestock, IT, Energy, Minerals, Tourism, and Industry. The discussions also highlighted policy measures aimed at enhancing the investment environment in Pakistan.

The delegation expressed a strong interest in investing in key sectors and explored the possibility of relocating Chinese industries to Pakistan, including areas in Gilgit Baltistan. The visit is set to further strengthen the Business-to-Business framework between Pakistan and China, enhancing ongoing engagements and cooperation between the two nations.
