Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi to Co-Chair Strategic Dialogue in Pakistan

Islamabad: Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi is set to visit Pakistan on Thursday to co-chair the 6th Pakistan-China Foreign Ministers’ Strategic Dialogue in Islamabad.

According to Radio Pakistan, during a regular press briefing, Chinese Foreign Ministry’s Spokesperson Mao Ning stated that this will be Foreign Minister Wang Yi’s second visit to Pakistan in three years. The spokesperson emphasized the strong ties between China and Pakistan, referring to them as ironclad friends and all-weather strategic cooperative partners. The bilateral relationship is characterized by solid strategic mutual trust and frequent high-level exchanges.

Mao Ning highlighted that President Xi Jinping and Pakistani leaders have jointly offered strategic guidance for the growth of bilateral relations. She noted that China aims to use this visit to further implement the important common understandings reached between the leaders of the two countries. The visit seeks to deepen strategic communication, expand practical cooperation in various areas, enhance coordination and cooperation in international and regional affairs, and accelerate the development of an even closer China-Pakistan community with a shared future in the new era.
