Chinese Premier Li Qiang Begins Four-Day Visit to Pakistan Amid SCO Summit

Islamabad: Chinese Premier Li Qiang arrived in Islamabad today for a four-day visit, at the invitation of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif. This visit coincides with the 23rd meeting of the Council of Heads of Government of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), which Premier Li is set to attend.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Premier Li’s visit is accompanied by a delegation that includes ministers and senior officials from China’s Ministries of Foreign Affairs and Commerce, the National Development and Reform Commission, and the China International Development Cooperation Agency. This high-level engagement underscores the strategic importance of the visit, which aims to further cement the robust bilateral relations between Pakistan and China.

During his stay, Premier Li and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will lead their respective delegations in comprehensive discussions covering all aspects of Pakistan-China relations. The talks will focus on enhancing economic and trade ties and cooperation under the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC). Additionally, the leaders will discuss regional and global developments, reflecting the broader strategic dimensions of their partnership.
